Robotics classes that combine fun with learning, developing creativity and technical skills in children.
ROBOTEK is a fascinating adventure with robotics in the playful atmosphere of a science picnic. During the course, young robotics students, with the help of engineers from AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, build and program robots from LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT and LEGO WE DO sets, so that at the end of each meeting they can test their designs in practical operation.
Children aged 4-7 transform into young robotics engineers by assembling Lego We Do construction sets containing over 150 elements, including a motor, touch and motion sensor. They “bring to life” their robots using specialist software on laptops, communicating with their creations using the Lego USB Hub. The classes are made more attractive by additional equipment that allows building more advanced structures.
Children over 8 years of age work with LEGO Education NXT Mindstorms sets, enriched with additional accessories. In total, they have over 1,200 elements, from simple blocks (beams, connectors, axles, hooks, wheels) to complex structures such as interactive servo motors, a sound sensor, an ultrasonic optical sensor, a light and touch sensor, and an intelligent NXT cube with a 32-bit microprocessor, an LCD display and a speaker. The robots are controlled using Lego Mindstorms software installed on computers.
